We are adding a “Need Help?’ button on the login and forgot password pages that will direct users to troubleshooting articles and guides on how to set up different MFA methods like passkeys and authenticator apps.

MFA Configuration for Client and ESS User Types

Starting in Q3, we are adding the ability to control the security levels for Client and Employee users at the client level. As fraud and security concerns continue to be of the utmost importance, we are empowering our clients to choose what suits their business most.

Key Enhancements:

  • New MFA Settings Page:
    • A dedicated page to update MFA settings for client and employee users.
  • Security Level Options:
    • Low Security: Allows all current MFA options.
    • Medium Security: Disables email as an authentication method.
    • High Security: Disables both email and SMS options.
  • Centralized Control:
    • MFA settings now accessible at the client level, streamlining management for different user groups.

 

Payroll/Service Bureau

Payroll Fraud Protection

Fraudulent payroll transactions lead to a loss of large amounts of money and time loss, and Partners and Clients have been looking for a way to better detect, and act on, fraudulent activities.

 

Over the course of Q2 2025, various updates have been provided each release to help with Fraud Protection. Below is a summary of all the work scheduled, breaking out what has already been released, what is being included in this release.

 

Already Released

Updates in 11.8 release

·        Email alert for client contacts when there are potentially an excessive number of direct deposit updates in the payroll

·        Client Contact email - Added legal company number and name to the email message

·        Added an additional notification under Client Contacts >Notifications for Fraud Protection. This will give the Partner the ability to refine which client contacts receive the Fraud Protection emails.

·        Payroll Processing will be updated to notify when rule parameters have been triggered. Notifications go to client contacts designated to receive Fraud Protection emails.

 

 

 

Tax
Tax Forms Update

With this release, we’ve made updates to Federal withholding forms, State withholding forms, employee withholding forms that are used in onboarding, and those using the Tax Updates functionality in self-service.     

U.S. Form Updates

Minnesota: Form W-4MN (Spanish) added

Adaptive Employee Experience
New Time Card Updates

With this release, we have two updates to the new time card:

Time Off Requests

We’re adding the ability for users to "Request Time Off" from
the new Time Card in AEE. Users will find be able to find the
option available under the “Add New” button in both the
employee "My Time Card" and the manage "Time Cards".

Absence Entry

We are also adding the ability for users to Approve/Reject a
pending absence (Time Off Request) from the new Time Card
in AEE when clicking on the absence tile.
